The Home button lets you toggle this functionality on and off (not that there should be any reason to). To use the fourth ability of the character on the right, you hold down space and the right mouse button, and hit 4.
So to activate the second ability (from left to right) of the character on the left, you hold down space and the left mouse button, and hit 2.
Holding down the left mouse button activates the abilities of the character on the left side of the hud, and the right mouse button does the same for the character on the right. While holding down space to pause the game, you can now hold down the left or right mouse button, and hit the 1-4 number keys to activate companion abilities. Substitute the underlined parts with the coordinates Window Spy gave you, and just like in the example, just change the coordinates in one of the functions by a few points. This is easily done by just making another move a few pixels off to the side.įor example, here's the section of code you'd change for the first ability icon: Note that the game won't recognize the cursor as being over an ability icon in game when you first jump the cursor over it, so you must move the cursor over the icon a second time for the game to get it.
Then you just hold your cursor over the relevant icon in-game, alt-tab out, read the cursor's position in Window Spy (use the "On Screen" position), and change the coordinates in the script. If you're unfamiliar with Window Spy, you can activate it by right clicking an active AHK script in the toolbar. It's easy to check the positions of the icons with the Window Spy tool though, so it should only take a few minutes to make the necessary adjustments. Due to the way it functions, unless you're using 1680x1050 resolution like me, you must customize the script slightly to match your resolution (sorry). It works by moving the mouse cursor to the ability icon and clicking it, and then moving the cursor away from those icons. This script lets you use the keyboard to activate companion abities, rather than having to use Bioware's clunky mouse-only interface (and without having to sacrifice any of your own quickslots).
